Why did we bailout all the banks with taxpayer money? Its our money and yet we have no say in how it gets spent by our elected officials except by voting them out after the fact. Maybe its time to put in place some oversite by the taxpayers instead of by corrupt government oversight commitee's. I mean who are they looking out for certainly not the american tax payer? After bailing out these asshole bankers because the U.S. can't afford to let them go under they turn right around and screw us on our credit card rates and home loans. Where the hell was the oversight commitee on that one? I am so sick of politicians making decisions for us without even considering how we might be affected by the outcome.

O k so I listened to the transcript of the 911 call for the runaway prius and I am speechless. First of all the guy driving must be an idiot and i use the term guy loosely since any man behind the wheel would have known to put the car in neutral in order to stop it. I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was probably too freaked out to think clearly but if he can dial 911 then he at least has some wits about him. The other thing is listening to the call he doesn't even seem too terrified he seems very calm which could be because it took a prius 20 mins to get up to 94 MPH so it was not like it happened suddenly. My real issue with the whole thing is that the police  used a vehicle payed for by me and you (tax payers) to stop this idiots car instead of just telling him to put the car in neutral and coast to a safe stop. I mean these police officers basically drive for a living and they don't know that putting a car in neutral removes all power from the wheels and makes the car stop? Are these really the people we want driving around citing other drivers for not driving correctly?
